Unbelievable Ectopic
If you haven't read this story about an ectopic pregnancy that went to term, do.
The baby went to 38 weeks and was born weighing 6lbs 3oz, despite implanting in her mother's ovary.
oh my gosh, how crazy!! how wonderful that it turned out the way it did, but i can imagine a woman putting herself at serious risk by not terminating such a pregnancy after hearing this.
I do believe, however, that most ectopic pregnancies are wickedly painful and have much bleeding which would encourage the woman to accept the doctor's verdict that something is very very wrong.
I don't even understand how it works - how there could be a placenta outside the womb and how it could be nourished...
I heard about this case. Amazing, really. Ectopics usually end incredibly badly. So do ectopics that go nearer term- usually because the placental bed will bleed uncontrollably if detached since there's no uterine muscle to constrict. She's VERY lucky.

Holy crap! Mr Bea actually heard this one before I did. I, too, am concerned women will want to risk their lives after hearing this tale.

That's a terrifying thought.
